Pumpkin and Vanilla Snacking Cake
Ingredients
1 cup pumpkin purée
½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp Heilala x Bon Appétit Double Fold Vanilla Paste
2 cups self-rising flour
2 tablespoons Heilala Vanilla Sugar (for topping)
Method
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, whisk together the pumpkin purée, melted butter, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla paste until smooth.
Gently fold in the flour until just combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and sprinkle vanilla sugar evenly over the top.
Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until golden and set in the center. Let cool completely
before cutting into squares. Enjoy!
